Life Care Plan / Future Cost of Care Report
What is a Life Care Plan? A Life Care Plan is a detailed report that outlines and estimates the current and future needs of individuals with severe or complex injuries or medical conditions. Developed through a thorough assessment, data analysis, and research, this dynamic document is based on recommendations from healthcare professionals and peer-reviewed literature. The plan provides a structured approach to addressing all aspects of care, including medications, therapies, equipment, home maintenance, vocational needs, transportation, and childcare. The plan projects the needs of the individual, as well as the associated costs.

Each Life Care Plan includes:

  • An overview of injuries, symptoms, and current function

  •  A summary of medical and therapy history

  • Consultations with treating therapists and physicians (when possible)

  •  Research on available services and associated costs specific to the individual’s location

  •  Recommendations and a detailed breakdown of costs

The life care plan is a dynamic document based upon published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, data analysis, and research, which provides an organized, concise plan for current and future needs with associated costs for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or have chronic health care needs.”

Life Care Plan Critiques / Rebuttal Reports
Life Care Plan rebuttal reports are thorough evaluations that assess and challenge existing Life Care Plans. These comprehensive reports are designed to identify discrepancies, inaccuracies, or areas of concern within the original plan. By reviewing the methodologies, data, and recommendations of the initial Life Care Plan, rebuttal reports offer an objective analysis and provide alternative perspectives or corrections where necessary. This process ensures that all aspects of the care plan are scrutinized for accuracy and appropriateness, ultimately supporting fair and informed decision-making in medical-legal contexts.

Medical Record Review and Summary

Our Medical Record Review and Summary service provides a detailed analysis of a client’s medical history to support effective life care planning. This process involves a comprehensive examination of medical records, including hospital reports, treatment histories, diagnostic tests, and physician notes. We meticulously summarize these records to highlight key medical issues, treatment progress, and ongoing needs. This summary serves as a critical foundation for developing accurate and personalized life care plans, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s health condition are thoroughly understood and addressed in their care strategy.

Consulting Services

Consultations provide immediate, expert guidance on complex medical issues, case strategy development, and early case assessments. This collaborative approach allows lawyers to clarify medical facts, tailor the scope of future reports, and address urgent legal needs in real-time. Consultations offer the flexibility and insights needed to strengthen cases before committing to a formal report, ensuring that legal strategies are fully informed and aligned with the medical context.

Medical Cost Estimates
Our Medical Cost Estimates service provides precise projections of the costs associated with a client’s medical care and related needs. This includes evaluating expenses for ongoing treatments, medications, therapies, equipment, and other essential services based on current and anticipated requirements. Unlike a comprehensive Life Care Plan, which offers a detailed, holistic approach encompassing all aspects of an individual care, a Medical Cost Estimate focuses specifically on the financial aspects. It isolates and quantifies the anticipated costs to ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning. While a Life Care Plan includes a broader scope with recommendations for maximizing care and outcomes, our Medical Cost Estimates are designed to provide a clear financial picture for specific medical expenditures.
